Hate Crime Workshop and Conferences
Multicultural Richmond regularly organise Hate Crime workshops and conferences with its partners and invite experts from the Police, Stop Hate UK and other agencies like ourselves to help people recognise Hate Crime and have the confidence to report it with an understanding of how the legal process works.
Domestic Abuse and FGM Workshops
We annually deliver Domestic Abuse/FGM workshop to disadvantaged BME women in partnership with Victim Support who explain what it is and how it affects people. They also talk about Safeguarding and Abuse and why women found it difficult to speak up and seek help. A great deal of interest is shown by the women on how it can be tackled and reported.
Casework and Advice Service
We deal with individuals and families from black and minority ethnic communities to provide advice and help to those who face racial disadvantage when dealing with services connected to education, housing, welfare rights and benefits. We also provide support to those who are victims of hate crime due to race.
