Social Inclusion of BME youth in Ham –in Partnership with Achieving for Children Afc
Ham Youth Centre offers lots of exciting activities for 11-17 year olds after school throughout the week and in holidays. Young people get to choose what goes on there and all activities are free.

2018
Ben Skelton Youth Work Lead – North East Cluster from Ham Youth Centre worked with young people to create a film called “Challenge Hate Crime and Prejudice” It defined what hate crime is and what actions we should take if we experience or see hate crime taking place. On the 4th July 2018 following on from this film there was a Youth Hate crime event which included 60 children from local schools. Young people saw the film again for discussion and debate. Additionally, the Director of EMAG gave a talk on hate crime and how victims were supported by organisations like ours. The Director of Stop Hate UK also gave a comprehensive talk on the services they provided in assisting victims of hate crime.
