Community Wellbeing Event

On Wednesday 10th August we had our Community Wellbeing Event in partnership with Richmond Council’s Community Engagement Team. It was held at the Hounslow Heath Community Centre on the RHP estate on Edgar road and was opened by the Deputy Mayor of Richmond Cllr Rhi Lee. It was a very successful event with many people from the local area attending and taking part in the activities which included a free raffle, exercise, henna tattoos, massage and free delicious food from Delhi Wala Whitton.

People also had the opportunity to talk to Social Prescribers from RUILS Independent Living, a psychologist from Richmond Borough Mind and have their blood pressure checked by a local doctor or nurse.

Everybody had a fun time and at the same time got guidance on health and wellbeing. Click the link below for a glimpse of what happened that day.

The event was also a launch pad for Multicultural Richmond (MCR) to reintroduce services based around the community centre on the Hounslow Heath Estate.

Since Wednesday 17th August we have been running a social group from 11.00am – 12.30pm for the local community which includes weekly exercise sessions. Very shortly we will be introducing one to one digital help for individuals who are having trouble using their phones, laptops and tablets.

If you are interested in joining our FREE social group and taking part in the activities at the Hounslow Heath Community Centre on the Edgar Road, please contact:
